Kapadia Brothers

Kapadia Brothers is located at number 126 in the Vishnu Garden Extension area of Alkapuri. Being in Alkapuri means it is usually quite busy around us, but our little corner in the extension is a bit more manageable than the main roads. The business has been a family thing for a long time, so you’ll often see a few of us arguing over where a certain file went or who forgot to lock the back gate the night before. Our office at 126 is filled with old wooden desks and piles of ledgers that we still haven't fully moved to the computer yet. It has a bit of a lived-in feel, maybe a bit cluttered for some people’s taste, but we know exactly where everything is. The neighbors are mostly other local businesses, so we all know each other and stop to chat when we’re heading out for coffee. We handle our daily trade and talk to customers who have been coming to us for years, often asking about our parents or how the kids are doing. It is not a corporate environment at all; it’s more like an extension of our home. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit during heavy rain, and we just put a bucket under it and keep on working. We like the rhythm of this place and the way the afternoon sun hits the front windows while we are finishing up the day's tasks.
