We are Steelsmith Continental Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, located at number 43 on 21st Main, right at the 20th Cross in Lamdapura. It’s a busy corner of the industrial area. We spend most of our time in the middle of the manufacturing sounds. There is always a machine humming or someone moving metal around. The office part is just a small corner partitioned off so we can hear ourselves talk. It’s not a glamorous place to work. There’s usually some dust on the desks and the floor always has some scraps on it. But that’s what a manufacturing place looks like. We don’t try to hide it. We’ve been at this Lamdapura location for a good while. The people who work here are mostly locals who have been in the trade for years. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just make things out of steel. Some days are long, especially when we have a big batch to get through. We don’t have a fancy website or a bunch of slogans. We just have our tools and our experience. Lunch is usually eaten together in the back, and then it’s back to the floor. It’s a steady routine. We know the 21st Main area well, and the other businesses nearby know us too. We just focus on the daily output and making sure the machines are running right. It’s honest work for honest people.
