If you look for us, we are right on Ajwa Road. It’s the area where the shoe market is, so it gets really busy with people walking around and bikes everywhere. Shakti Steel Suppliers is basically just a place where we keep the stock and talk to people about what they need for their projects. We deal with steel mostly, as the name says. The traffic outside can be a real headache in the evenings when everyone is leaving the market. We spend a lot of time outside on the street level just watching the trucks come and go. It’s dusty work, especially when the wind picks up around Ajwa Road. Our shop isn't anything special to look at, just a regular spot with steel rods and plates. We’ve got some guys who help with the loading and unloading. Sometimes the tea stall next door is the best part of the morning. We know the other shop owners around the shoe market pretty well. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find our way around. People just say look for the steel near the shoe shops. It’s noisy and loud with the metal clanging, but that is just how it is. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down and the market starts to thin out a bit. It is a long day but the work gets done. There are no fancy offices here, just steel.
