Sandhya Higher Secoundry School

Sandhya Higher Secoundry School is found at Shop No 14 inside the Shivalaya Complex on Vasna Road. This is the 390007 area of Vadodara. It might seem a bit unusual to have a school in a shop unit, but we have made it work for the higher secondary students. We have divided the space into a few rooms where the different subjects are taught. Since these are older kids, they don't need a lot of play area, just a place to sit and listen to the lectures. The complex is quite busy with people coming and going for different things. We are just one part of the daily life at Shivalaya. The classrooms are a bit tight, but we manage to fit everyone in. There is a lot of focus on the textbooks and the board exam prep because that is what the parents expect. The noise from Vasna Road is always there in the background, but the students get used to it after a while. We don't have a big canteen or anything like that, so most students bring their own lunch or just wait until they go home. The staff room is small and usually filled with stacks of notebooks. It is a very simple operation we have going on here. We just show up, teach the lessons, and make sure the students are staying on top of their work. It’s a very local, no-nonsense kind of place. We've been here for several years, helping the local students get through their final school years.
