Rubi Steel Furniture

Rubi Steel Furniture is located at Plot No. 1, Patel Park Road, over in Yakutpura. We are right near the Eme Boys School, so you can usually hear the kids playing during their breaks. It’s a nice area to work in. We make all sorts of furniture out of steel. The workshop is always full of the sound of welding and grinding. It gets pretty bright in there, so we have to wear our gear all day. It’s a bit messy with all the scraps on the floor, but we clean up every Friday. We don’t have a big sales team. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands or sparks flying. We just build things that are meant to last. A lot of our stuff goes to local homes and offices. We don't use any fancy computer programs to design things; we just sketch them out on bits of paper and get to work. Sometimes an order takes a little longer than we thought it would, especially if a machine breaks down, but we always get it finished. It’s just a few of us working here. We’ve known each other for a long time. The coffee pot is always on in the corner, though it tastes a bit burnt by the afternoon. We like being part of the Yakutpura community. It’s a simple life, making furniture and watching the neighborhood go by.
