Royal Foods

Royal Foods is located in the Vadodara 39 area. We handle food products, mostly snacks and items that people like to keep in their cupboards. The smell in the shop is usually pretty good because of everything we have stored here. We aren't a big supermarket, just a local supplier. We spend our mornings receiving crates and making sure everything is fresh. The space is used mostly for storage and a small counter where people can buy what they need. It’s a bit out of the way, but we have our regular customers who come to us specifically. We don’t have a fancy website or a lot of staff in uniforms. It's just us in our regular clothes, moving boxes and helping people find what they want. Sometimes we run out of a popular item and have to wait for the next delivery truck to show up. We tell people to come back in a couple of days. That's just the way it goes. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the city center, which we like. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been operating in Vadodara for some time, and we just keep things moving one day at a time. We use a heavy old scale for weighing some of the bulk items. The back room is where we keep the extra stock piled up to the ceiling. It can get warm in the summer, so we keep the doors open for a breeze.
