Rollon Containers

Our place, Rollon Containers, is out on the Old Kurnool Road in Ketadon. We are at Survey No. 71/B/E, right across from the Ramcharan Oil Mill. You can usually tell you’re close because of the smell from the mill. We have a big open yard where we keep all the containers. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the crane. The ground is hard-packed dirt and it gets muddy whenever it rains, which makes moving the containers a real pain. We spend a lot of time outside in the elements, so our clothes usually look a bit worn out. The office is just a small cabin near the entrance where we handle the paperwork and the gate logs. It’s not fancy at all, just a place to get out of the sun for a few minutes. We deal with all sorts of containers, and there is always a truck coming in or going out. It can get pretty loud with the metal clanging and the engines running. We are just a group of people making sure the logistics side of things stays on track. There aren't any big speeches here about what we do. We just make sure the right container goes to the right person at the right time. It’s hard, physical work, but it keeps us busy every day.
