Elmex Controls Pvt Ltd is situated at 12, Gidc Estate on Makarpura Road. This part of the city is very industrial, so there are always sounds of machinery and trucks passing by outside. Our building is a simple, older structure that has been part of the GIDC for years. It’s not a place with glass walls or high-tech decor. Inside, it’s mostly concrete floors and sturdy wooden desks. We have a lot of shelves filled with components and control units. The air always has a slight smell of metal and electricity, which you get used to after a couple of days. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. Usually, you just walk in and find someone to talk to. The staff here are mostly people who have worked in the estate for a long time. We know the other business owners on the road and sometimes share a tea with them. The work is steady, and we don't feel the need to rush things or make a big show of what we do. We just come in, check the orders, and start on the controls. It’s a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have some big fans that do the trick. It’s a honest, hard-working environment where people just do their bit and then go home to their families. We’ve been doing this for a long time now and it feels right.
