Our place is located out in Bamangam, near the highway. It’s actually at Block Number 35, right by the Modern Petrofiles plant. If you’re driving on N.H. No. 8, you can’t really miss the turnoff for Karjan. We deal with power structures and heavy steel parts mostly. It’s a big site because the things we make take up a lot of room. There’s always a truck coming in or going out with some large metal frame on the back. It gets pretty muddy when it rains, so we usually wear heavy boots around the yard. Most of the guys here have been working with steel for most of their lives. It is not the kind of job where you stay clean. We have a small office near the front where we keep the files and the computer, but most of the action is out in the sheds. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but being near the highway makes it easier for the deliveries to get through. Sometimes the power flickers, but that’s just part of being out here. We don’t do much advertising. Most people know us because they’ve seen our trucks on the road or they know someone who works here. It’s just a regular yard where we build stuff. We try to keep things organized, but with so much metal lying around, it is always a bit cluttered. We just keep our heads down and finish the work.
