Kalptaru Agro Fertiliser

Our place is at No. 343 in the G. I. D. C. area of Por. It is an industrial zone, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. Kalptaru Agro Fertiliser has been here in Por for a while. The air always smells a bit like chemicals or earth because of what we do. It is a big space because we need to store the bags of fertiliser before they go out to the farms. The trucks come in and out all day, kicking up a lot of dust. Working in a GIDC means you are surrounded by other businesses doing heavy work. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come to visit, you’ll probably see us in the back moving things around or checking the inventory lists. The floors are concrete and it can get pretty cold in the winter mornings. We just focus on getting the right mixes ready for the farmers who need them. Kalptaru Agro Fertiliser isn't a glamorous business, but it is necessary work. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the beginning. We mostly just talk about the weather and how it’s going to affect the next crop season. It is a straightforward way to make a living and we are used to the noise of the machines nearby.
