Pomal Steel Corporation

Our place, Pomal Steel Corporation, is located right at 23 Pratap Nagar. We're in Sairam Chambers on the Pawai Station Road in Vithalwadi West. If you find the Wadi Shak Market, we are directly opposite it. It gets quite loud around here with the market and the station traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. We deal with all sorts of steel pieces and industrial materials. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually dirty by noon. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People come to us when they need specific metal rods or plates for their building projects. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s mostly just stacks of metal and us moving things around. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane near the market, which is always a bit of a mess to clear up. We just handle the orders as they come. It's not a complicated business, but it's hard work. We keep track of everything in big ledgers that are getting a bit worn out. Most of our customers are local contractors who know us by name. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth works well enough. The stairs up to Sairam Chambers can be a bit steep if you're carrying something heavy. We’re just a bunch of guys working with steel, trying to get the orders right and out the door on time. That's really all there is to it.
