We spend most of our days here in the BIDC Industrial Estate in Gorwa. It is a busy part of Vadodara with plenty of noise and trucks moving in and out of the estate. Our shop is at F/34 and we have been in this spot for quite some time now. Dealing with steel is heavy work and there is usually iron dust around the floor. We focus on profile cutting, which means we take big sheets of metal and cut them into the shapes people need for their own projects or buildings. The machines take up a lot of the space inside. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months here. We usually have a few guys working the cutters and making sure the measurements are what they should be. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workshop with tools, metal scraps, and the smell of cut iron. People from around the industrial area know where we are. We open up early in the morning to get a head start before the sun gets too high. Most of our work comes from other businesses nearby that need specific parts made quickly. We just try to keep the machines running and get the orders finished so they can be picked up from the front.
