About Paras Flour Mill – Food & Beverages in Vadodara
Paras Flour Mill is just a small place at T-51 on the Warasiya Ring Road. If you live around Yakutpura, you probably know where it is. It isn't a big factory or anything like that. We just have the stone grinders and the space for people to leave their sacks of wheat. Most mornings start early because that is when people want to drop things off before they go to work. The air gets thick with white dust pretty quickly. It gets on your clothes and in your hair, but you get used to it after a few years. We spend a lot of time cleaning the stones and making sure the belts are tight. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but that is just how it is here. People bring in their own grain and we grind it while they wait or they come back later in the evening. It’s loud inside, so we don’t talk much while the machines are running. You just nod and point. The shop doesn't have fancy signs or a big office. It’s just the floor covered in flour and the smell of crushed grain. We’ve been here at this spot for quite a while now. The traffic on the Ring Road is always humming in the background. It’s a simple job, really. You take the grain, you put it through, and you give back the flour. That is all we do every day.
