You can find Pagarkha Leather Goods right across from the State Bank of India over by Darpan Six Road in Raopura. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been working with leather for a long time. It’s what we know. The smell of the hides is the first thing you notice when you walk into our place. It’s a strong scent, but we’ve grown to like it over the years. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop feel. Tools are scattered around on the benches, and there’s always a project in the middle of being finished. We handle the leather ourselves, cutting and stitching where it's needed. It's dusty work sometimes. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving. Being near the bank means we get a lot of people passing by on their way to do errands. Some stop in to ask about a repair or to see what we're making. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here at Darpan Six Road. We try to keep the work consistent without making a big deal out of it. It’s just a job at the end of the day. If you need to find us, look for the bank and then look across the street. We’ll be there, probably covered in a bit of leather dust and working on someone's shoes or a belt.
