Leather Palace

Leather Palace is located at A-1, opposite Prabhat Studio. We are in the 2nd Block on 2nd Cross in Vadodara. It is an easy place to find if you know where the studio is. The shop has a very specific smell because of all the leather we keep inside. Some people love it and some do not, but that is just how it is. We have jackets, belts, and all sorts of things made from leather. I spend a lot of time checking the quality of the hides. If there is a scratch or a mark, I have to see if we can work around it. The 2nd Cross can be a bit cramped with parked scooters sometimes. I usually sit near the front door to catch whatever breeze comes through. It is an old building but it has character. We do not have bright neon lights or anything. Just some simple bulbs to see what we are doing. People come in from all over Vadodara because they know we have been here a long time. It is not a fancy palace like the name might suggest, it is more of a workshop where we care about the material. I have been working with leather since I was young so I know the feel of it. We keep things simple and just focus on the craft. Every day is about checking the stitching and making sure the leather stays supple.
