Baba Leather

Our leather shop is located in Munshi Kancha in the Laheripura area. It is quite close to the Sursagar Lake and right near the Padmavati Shopping Center. The area is always crowded with people shopping and visiting the water. Inside the shop, you can always smell the heavy scent of leather. We have bags, belts, and other handmade items hanging from the walls and stacked on the wooden counters. It is a bit of an old-fashioned place, not like the modern stores you see in the big malls nowadays. We have been in this spot for years, and the walls show a bit of wear and tear from the passage of time. We spend a lot of time showing customers the different textures and talking about how the various items were made. Sometimes we have to do small repairs or punch extra holes in belts while people wait at the counter. The lighting inside is not the best, but it helps show the real, natural color of the leather goods. Being near Sursagar means we get a lot of tourists stopping in after they walk around the lake. It is a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes of new stock arriving. We are not big on advertising; we just sit here and wait for people to wander in. It is a slow-paced kind of business compared to the busy markets nearby.
