Jagdish Leather Craft

Our shop is tucked away at Center Point in Alkapuri, specifically at unit GF-6. If you walk in from the main entrance, we are not too far down the hall. The first thing most people notice when they step inside is the smell of the leather. It’s quite strong, but you get used to it after five minutes. We’ve been working with leather here for a long time. It’s a messy business sometimes, with scraps of hide and different tools scattered on the workbenches in the back. We try to keep the front area where customers stand a bit cleaner. Alkapuri has changed a lot since we first opened, with new buildings going up everywhere, but Center Point stays mostly the same. We have a small crew here. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know our way around a needle and thread. The lighting in the shop isn't the brightest, but it works for what we need to do. We don't really do much advertising; people usually find us because someone told them we were here. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just cutting and stitching day after day. We like the routine of it. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops come by for tea. It’s a good community to be part of, and we are happy to stay right where we are.
