Shri Jalaram Trading Co.

We set up Shri Jalaram Trading Co right across from the Godavari Petrol Pump. If you know the Nandesari Crossing, you've probably seen us. It gets pretty busy out here with all the trucks and cars pulling into the station. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, near the Po. Rayka area. Mostly, we just handle the day-to-day trading business. It is a lot of loading and unloading, checking lists, and talking to drivers. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are usually busy cleaning up the office or moving crates around. Our staff is local, mostly folks who live nearby. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It's just a regular shop floor where the work gets done. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we sit outside on the benches until it comes back. It is a straightforward life here. We open early in the morning when the first sun hits the crossing and stay open until the evening rush dies down. People stop by for directions as much as they do for business. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the ledger gets a bit messy. It’s just how things go. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows what they have to do. We don't spend much time on meetings. We just get the orders sorted and out the door. We usually drink our tea from the stall next door while waiting for the next truck.
