Nakoda Steel

We are located over at the Gidc Estate in Waghodia, and we actually have two separate units here, number 909 and number 949. Most days you will find us busy with the steel work, which usually means a lot of noise and heavy lifting throughout the morning. The area stays pretty active with trucks coming in and out of the estate, so it can get a bit dusty around the yard. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that because we spend most of our time out in the shed. The metal gets hot under the afternoon sun, but that is just how the work goes for us here. There are several of us who have worked at Nakoda Steel for years now, and we pretty much know the routine by heart. It is not the kind of place where things stay quiet for long. We keep our ledgers on a small desk that is always piled with delivery notes and half-finished cups of tea. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and everything stops for a bit, which gives us a chance to sit outside for a minute. We focus on getting the orders loaded correctly and making sure the stacks are organized so we can find things when the next lorry arrives. It is a basic setup, but it works for what we need to do every day in Waghodia. We just keep our heads down and handle the metal.
