Shree Enterprise

Shree Enterprise is tucked away in Jolly Bhavan No 1. We are on the fifth floor, room 504. Being at 10 New Marine Lines in Mumbai means it's always crowded outside. You hear the trains and the traffic constantly, day and night. Our office isn't very large. It’s mostly just desks, a couple of computers, and stacks of files that we haven't found a place for yet. We deal with a lot of different people every day. It’s mostly phone calls and paperwork. Mumbai is a fast city, but we try to keep things at a human pace here. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up and we have to walk the stairs, which isn't great in the humidity. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. You get used to the noise and the way the light hits the street in the evening. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just come in, do the work, and try to stay organized. Most of the time we are just coordinating between suppliers and customers. It’s a lot of back and forth on the telephone. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall. We know the other people on our floor pretty well. It’s a small community in a giant city. We just keep our heads down and handle the business as it comes. It's not glamorous but it's our daily routine. We'll be here until the work is done. It's just how we earn our living.
