Micro-Mech Engineers

We are located at 73, Por Industrial Park, which is right behind the Sahyog Hotel in the Por district. It’s a handy landmark because almost everyone knows the hotel. Our workshop is a big shed where we do all our mechanical engineering work. It's usually quite a mess with tools spread out on benches and half-finished metal structures on the floor. We don't really bother with keeping things looking pretty; we just care that the machines are running and the welds are strong. There’s a constant hum from the industrial park, and we contribute our fair share of noise with the drills and saws. We have a small group of mechanics and helpers who just get on with the jobs. Most of the time, we are covered in a bit of grease or dust. It's a quiet area compared to the city, but we stay busy with the work that comes in from other factories nearby. We spend a lot of time figuring out how to fix broken parts or building new frames from scratch. Sometimes we have to wait for materials to arrive, which gives us a bit of a break to sit outside and have some tea. It's a very grounded way of working. We’ve been here at Por for a while, and we like being slightly away from the main city chaos while still having enough work to keep us occupied all day.
