Sunrise Engineering Co

Sunrise Engineering Co is tucked away at Plot No. 170-a in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s been our home for quite some time now. The workshop isn't the biggest, but we have managed to fit all the necessary machines in there, even if it feels a bit cramped when we have a big project going on. There’s a constant smell of cutting oil and metal shavings everywhere, which you just get used to after the first week. We start pretty early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the heat in the shed becomes unbearable. Most of our work involves small parts and fixing up machinery for other businesses in the estate. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that because word usually travels fast enough around the industrial area. If someone’s machine breaks down, they usually send someone over to see if we can help out. It is a lot of hands-on work and we spend a lot of time bent over lathes or checking measurements with calipers. The floor is never really clean, no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the day. It’s just a regular shop where we get things done as they come in. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone knows how to run every machine we’ve got. It’s just how we keep things moving.
