Working out here in Gidc Estate, Waghodia, is different than being in the city. Our unit is C-1 B, 161, and it is basically where we live for ten hours a day. Metelec Engineers is what it says on the door. We focus on the engineering side of things, mostly parts and components that go into bigger machines. The estate is always loud with other shops doing their own thing, but we are used to the noise by now. We have got a couple of machines that have been with us since the start. They are not the newest models, but we know how to fix them when they act up. There is always a smell of oil and cut metal in the air. We do not have a lobby or a receptionist; if you come by, you will probably find us on the shop floor. We handle a lot of small orders for local factories around here. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. We do not go in for big meetings or long emails. If something needs doing, we just talk it over and get to it. Sometimes we run into problems with materials being late, but we manage. Everyone here works hard and goes home tired at the end of the shift. It is a simple setup, but it is ours. We just keep the gears turning and try to do right by the people who buy from us. That is enough for us.
