If you are looking for Vakil Co. you just need to head to Plot No. 694 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. We have been situated here for quite some time now and the place feels like a second home to most of us. The workshop is a bit cluttered because we have saved parts and tools from every project we have ever done. You never know when a specific bolt or a piece of scrap metal might come in handy. Our workspace is filled with the smell of grease and old machinery which is something you get used to after the first week. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted on the walls. Instead we just have a calendar with some dates circled and a few faded photos of the team from a holiday party a few years back. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard but we just put a bucket under it and keep on working. It’s the kind of place where you can speak your mind and nobody gets too upset. We spend our mornings going over the schedule and our afternoons trying to get ahead of the next day's work. It’s a repetitive cycle but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the crates stacked up and ready to go at the end of the week. Being at Plot 694 is just part of our identity now and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
