Shree Ambica Metal

At Shree Ambica Metal, we spend our time working with all kinds of metal pieces. We are based at Plot No. 856-13-b in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a heavy job. Everything we move is weighted and solid. We have a small crew of workers who know their way around a furnace and a cutter. The walls are a bit stained from the smoke and the heat, but that’s just how a metal shop looks. We don't worry much about the aesthetics of the office. It’s mostly just a place to keep the ledgers and the weighing scales. The floor is covered in scraps and shavings that we sweep up at the end of every week. It gets loud when the cutting starts, so we use earplugs most of the day. We aren't a high-tech facility. Most of our work is done by hand or with basic power tools. We’ve known the guys at the surrounding plots for years. We often share a kettle of chai in the afternoon. It’s a community of workers here. We don't promise anything we can't do. If a job is too big or too strange for us, we just say so. People seem to appreciate that honesty. We just keep the gate open and handle the work as it comes in. It’s a steady life in the GIDC. We just make sure the measurements are right before we ship anything out to the customers.
