S K Heat Treatment Shop

S K Heat Treatment Shop is tucked away at Plot No. 747-2 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you come by, you’ll notice it gets pretty warm around our plot. That is because our furnaces are running most of the day to get the metal to the right temperature. Heat treatment is a slow process that requires a lot of waiting and watching the gauges. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. Instead, we have stacks of metal parts waiting to go into the heat or cooling down after they come out. It is a bit dark inside because we need to see the color of the metal sometimes, and the soot from the processes settles on everything. We are a small crew here. Everyone knows their job and we don’t talk much while the work is going on. We have been at Plot No. 747-2 for a long time now. The neighborhood has changed a bit but our shop stays mostly the same. We get parts from all over the estate and even further away. People know us for the work we do on their tools and gears. It is hard, sweaty work, especially in the summer months, but it is what we know how to do. We usually have a big water cooler near the door because everyone stays thirsty. It is just a regular local shop where we work hard and go home tired every single evening.
