Rashma Fiber Glass

If you go down to the Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll find Rashma Fiber Glass at Plot No. 984-a-4. It’s a typical workshop space. We work with fiber glass all day, so there is usually a bit of dust in the air. We try to keep it clean, but it's tough with the kind of materials we use. We make all sorts of things out of the glass fibers. Some are big, some are small. It takes a lot of patience to get the shapes right. My hands are usually a bit rough from the work. We don't have a lot of fancy automation. Most of it is done by hand with simple tools. We’ve been at this spot for years. The estate is always busy with trucks and other workers. We know the guys in the neighboring plots pretty well. We share tools sometimes or help each other out if a load is too heavy. The building isn't much to look at, just some walls and a roof to keep the rain off the stock. We don't have a receptionist or anyone to answer the phones all the time. Usually, we just hear the phone ringing over the sound of the fans and someone wipes their hands to go pick it up. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. We don't make a big fuss about it.
