Purshotam Industries

Purshotam Industries is located down at Plot No. A1, 256/35. If you’ve ever walked through this section of the GIDC Ind. Estate, you probably know the area. It’s mostly rows of workshops and small factories. We started small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing exactly what's happening on the shop floor. My cousin and I run things mostly, but we have a few guys who have been with us since the beginning. The floor is usually covered in scrap and tools, but we know where everything is. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever see, but it’s where we work. We handle a lot of different requests throughout the week. Some days are slow and we just do maintenance, while other days everyone is rushing to get a shipment out the door before the sun goes down. We don’t really do much advertising. Most people find us because they know someone who used us before. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the schedule. The building itself is old, but it keeps the rain off the machines. We’ve thought about painting the sign outside, but honestly, we’re too busy with the actual work to worry about that. It’s a practical life. We come in, we work hard, and we try to make sure everything leaves the gate in one piece. We just do our bit here and stay out of trouble.
