Metal Craft is located at Plot No. 992-7. If you come by the Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. There is always the sound of grinding or hammering going on. We work with various metals and try to make things that actually last. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting heavy sheets and bending pipes. My back usually aches by the time we close up, but seeing a finished piece makes it worth it. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you show up, you’ll find us on the shop floor with goggles on. The address is easy to find once you are in the estate. We’ve been at this particular spot for several years now. The walls are covered in old calendars and notes scribbled in chalk. We use whatever space we have. Sometimes the yard gets cluttered with scrap metal that we need to clear out. The rains can be a bit of a problem because the roof leaks in one corner near the back. We put a bucket there and keep working. It’s just how we operate. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a shiny building. We just care about the metal and making sure the dimensions are correct. Most of our regulars just drop by and tell us what they need. We get it done and they come back next time. It’s a simple way to run a business.
