Our place, Hiren Steel Strips Pvt. Ltd., is situated at Plot No. 900-1-b in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s a standard industrial plot, nothing too fancy to look at. We’ve been operating from this location for quite a few years. The area is mostly filled with other factories and workshops, so there’s always a lot of noise and movement throughout the day. We focus on steel strips, as the name suggests. It’s heavy work and the shop can get quite warm in the summer months. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. The estate is huge, and sometimes people get lost trying to find specific plots, but we’re fairly well-established in this section. We don’t spend much on marketing or trying to look corporate. We’d rather spend that on maintaining the equipment. The office is just a small corner of the building where we keep the records. Most of the action happens out on the floor. It’s a dusty, loud environment, but we’ve grown to like it over time. We see the same faces every day, the delivery drivers and the neighbors from the next plot over. It’s a simple way to make a living. We just keep the machines running and make sure the steel is handled properly. There isn't much more to it than that. We’re just a local business trying to do honest work in the heart of the Gidc.
