If you know the Gidc Industrial Estate in Makarpura, you know it's a busy spot. Our place is at No. 336/30. It’s loud and there’s always a truck backing up or someone moving pallets around. We do coatings here, so there’s usually that smell of metal and chemicals in the air. It’s not a clean office job. Most days we’re wearing overalls and getting our hands dirty. The machines run pretty much all day long. We’ve been at this spot for a good while, and the walls show it. There’s dust and marks everywhere, but that’s just how an industrial shop looks when people are actually working. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the floor checking a batch or fixing a line. Makarpura is always moving, and we just try to keep up with the pace. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we’re used to it. We drink a lot of tea and just keep going. The work is straightforward. We take the parts, we coat them, and they go out the door. There’s no mystery to it. Sometimes the schedule gets tight, and we have to stay late to finish up. That’s just life in the estate. We know the neighbors, and they know us. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. It's just us and the machines.
