Ambica Powder Coating

Ambica Powder Coating is located at Plot No. 78-1-11 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. Our work is all about finishing metal products. It’s a multi-step process that starts with cleaning the grease off and ends with the parts coming out of the oven. The oven makes the whole place really hot, so we usually have the big doors wide open to get a breeze. Everything gets a fine layer of powder on it eventually, no matter how much we clean. We spend our time hanging pieces on the racks and then spraying them carefully. It’s a bit like painting but much more durable once it’s baked. We have to be careful about the temperature and the timing, or the finish won't come out right. Sometimes we have to redo a piece if it doesn't look good, which is a bit of a waste of time, but it’s better than sending out bad work. We don't have a big corporate structure here. It's just a few of us who know how to run the equipment. We don't talk much while we work because of the noise from the compressors and the fans. We’ve been in Gidc at this plot for a few years and we’ve become part of the local industrial community. We just do the coating work and try to keep things moving along steadily.
