Cosmos Engitech Pvt. Ltd. has its home at Plot No. 445 in the GIDC Estate. It’s a solid building and we’ve filled every corner of it with machinery and workbenches. Running an engineering business like this means there is never a quiet moment. Between the phones ringing and the sound of metal being cut, you have to talk pretty loud to be heard. We have a mix of younger guys who are good with the computers and older guys who have a feel for the metal that you can’t really teach. Sometimes they argue about the best way to finish a piece, but it usually ends with a decent result. We don’t go in for much of that corporate talk you see in brochures. We are just a group of people trying to make parts that don't break. The floor gets a bit greasy and the tea is usually too sweet, but that’s the atmosphere here. When a shipment goes out, there is a bit of a relief, but then the next order is already waiting on the desk. We spend a lot of time checking and re-checking things because mistakes are just more work for everyone later. The GIDC estate can be a bit dusty, and the roads aren't always great, but it’s a good place for a business like ours. We just keep our heads down and get on with it.
