Local Community Housing Group Ltd., London

Our office is tucked away in Meera Society, which is over in the Diwalipura area of Baroda. We are at A-22, right near the Jaynidhi Township. It is actually a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the main city center. The name Local Community Housing Group Ltd., London might make people think we are a huge international firm with glass walls, but we are really just a small team working out of a residential society. The office feels more like a house because that is what it used to be. We have files everywhere and the printers are almost always running. People from the township often walk by, and we know most of our neighbors by name. Diwalipura is a nice place to be based in Gujarat State. It has a lot of trees and the roads are decent. We spend most of our time dealing with housing paperwork and talking to people about where they are going to live. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have too many visitors at once, but we manage to figure it out. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will help you. We have been here for a good while and plan to stay as long as the society lets us. It is just a practical, local operation helping people with their housing needs.
