Krishana Steel

Our yard is at 157 Shanti Nagar, right off Tarsali Road in Baroda. We go by Krishana Steel. It is a very straightforward operation here. We deal with steel, which means a lot of heavy lifting and moving metal around all day. The space is mostly filled with stock and the tools we need to cut or load it onto trucks. It is a dusty job, and we are usually covered in it by the time we go home. We have been in this part of Baroda for a good number of years. Tarsali Road is a handy location for the big trucks to come and go without getting stuck. We do not have a fancy showroom or a glass storefront. If someone wants to see what we have in stock, they just walk into the yard and look. We talk to our customers directly, mostly contractors or local builders who need a few beams or some reinforcement rods. We keep our paperwork in a small office at the front of the lot. It is just me and a couple of guys handling the heavy stuff. We do not bother with big advertisements. Most people find us by word of mouth or just by driving past our sign on the road. Steel prices change all the time, which keeps things interesting and a bit stressful. We just try to keep a fair stock and get it out to the people who need it. It is basic work.
