K.C.Mehta & Co. (Ca Firm)

Our firm, K.C.Mehta & Co., is over at 16-Ashish Society, which is right behind the Police Colony on the Warosiya Ring Road in Vadodara. It’s a convenient spot because of the ring road access, though the traffic can be a bit much during rush hour. The office itself is a no-nonsense kind of place. We have our computers, our printers, and more folders than we probably need. We deal with all the usual stuff like auditing and tax filings. It’s a lot of sitting in one place, so we try to get up and stretch whenever we can. The noise from the ring road is a constant background hum, but you eventually stop noticing it. We aren't trying to be some big, fancy firm with a lobby and a reception area. It’s just a workspace where we do the accounting work. The neighbors in Ashish Society are friendly, and we’ve been part of this little block for a long time. Some days are just filled with phone calls and trying to figure out why a balance sheet isn’t balancing. It can be frustrating, but that’s the job. We keep things pretty informal here. If a client comes in, they usually just pull up a chair at one of our desks. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just focus on the ledgers and making sure the government gets the right forms. It's a living, and it keeps us busy through the months.
