Kalyan Traders

We have our place, Kalyan Traders, set up on Makarpura Main Road. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of noise and dust from the passing vehicles. We deal in a lot of wholesale items, mostly hardware and some construction supplies. The shop is more like a warehouse with stuff stacked up on wooden pallets. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. It is not the kind of place where things are neatly displayed for browsing. Usually, people come in knowing exactly what they need, like a specific size of pipe or a box of bolts. We spend a lot of our day loading and unloading items from the back of small tempos. It is heavy work and my back usually aches by the end of the shift. We have a few guys who help with the moving and the counting. We do not really bother with fancy uniforms or a polished look. We are usually just in our old clothes because they are going to get dirty anyway. Sometimes we run out of stock on certain things if the factory is behind, and we just have to tell the customers to check back in a week. We have been on Makarpura Main Road for a long time and we know most of the other business owners nearby. It is a hardworking environment and we just fit right in.
