Honest Aluminium

We’ve been here at Farah Complex for a good while now. It’s a busy spot in Parshuram Nagar, especially being so close to Natraj Township. People around Sayajigunj usually know where we are. Our shop is at number eight. Most days, it’s just the sound of saws cutting through aluminium and the smell of metal shavings in the air. We handle a lot of window frames and sections. Sometimes it gets crowded in the shop with all the long poles leaning against the walls. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working on whatever comes in that day. The floor stays covered in small silver bits no matter how much we sweep. It’s just how it is when you’re working with this material. We spend most of our time measuring things out and making sure the edges aren't too sharp. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us bent over a workbench or loading some frames onto a rickshaw out front. The light in this part of the complex is okay during the morning but we use the big overhead lamps once it gets later. It's a straightforward place. We just focus on the metal work and try to get things done by the time the sun goes down. Nothing too complicated about it. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still right here in the same corner doing the same thing every morning.
