H. K. Traders

You can find H. K. Traders over at No. 31 in the GIDC Industrial Estate on Vijay Street in Makarpura. It is a busy industrial area, and our spot is right in the thick of it. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the building has seen a lot of use. It’s a trading business, so there is a lot of movement of goods. We don’t have a big, shiny showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical space with shelves and stock. The street outside can get pretty cramped with trucks and vans trying to make their way through, especially in the afternoons. We spend our days checking manifests and talking to suppliers. It is not the kind of work that gets a lot of attention, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. The office area is just a corner with a desk and some old chairs. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just want to get the trading done and go home to our families. It’s a local business run by local people who know the Makarpura area well. That is just how it is here. We don't have any corporate speakers or fancy mission statements. We just trade and keep the shop running day after day.
