Kalika Metals

Kalika Metals is tucked away on the 5th Cross in Pratap Nagar. If you know the area, it is not too hard to find us, though the street gets a bit crowded with traffic sometimes. We deal with all sorts of metal bits and pieces throughout the week. Our space is filled with stacks of material that we organize as best as we can, though it always seems to get messy again by Tuesday. We spend our time weighing things out and making sure the inventory is right. It is noisy work, especially when we are moving the heavier stuff around the shop floor. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical workspace where we get things done. Most of the guys here have been working with metal for years, so they know the difference between grades just by looking at them. We open up early and usually close when the sun goes down. People from around Pratap Nagar stop by when they need specific metal pieces for their own projects. We do not use big computers for everything; a lot of our notes are still on paper pads kept on the desk. It is a straightforward life here at the shop. We just try to be fair and keep the piles of metal moving so we have room to walk around. It is a lot of physical labor but it keeps us busy.
