Udyognagar Society is a busy place to be. Our spot at number 30 is right in the thick of it. Vadodara has that industrial feel that never really sleeps. Every morning, the sound of the city waking up matches the noise in our yard. We handle a lot of heavy stuff here, mostly pipes and metal that need to be moved around constantly. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of numbers in old ledgers. The fans in the office barely keep the humidity away during the monsoon, but we get through it. Most of the guys have been here for years. We know the neighbors at the other units, and there’s a lot of back-and-forth about truck space and deliveries. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a brochure. There are grease marks on the walls and the floors are never quite clean, no matter how much we sweep. We just focus on getting the day’s list finished. If a truck shows up late, we stay until it’s loaded. That’s just how it goes in this part of Gujarat. It’s steady, predictable, and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. When the tea man comes around at four, that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon before the final rush to close. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just keeping the supply chain moving along for the customers who need it.
