Harihar Steel Products

Pratap Nagar. This is where we run Harihar Steel Products. It’s a neighborhood place. We don't have a long, complicated address, just Pratap Nagar. Our shop is full of all kinds of steel items. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock. You have to watch your step so you don't trip over a pipe or a sheet of metal. We’ve been here for a good while. The neighbors know us by name. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and showing people what we have. The air smells like iron and sometimes sparks fly when something needs cutting. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just walks in because they saw the sign or heard about us from a friend down the street. We spend our time counting inventory and talking to customers who come in looking for something specific. Some days are just spent cleaning up the scrap and organizing the shelves so we can actually find things. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like the rhythm of it. The morning starts with opening the heavy shutters, and the evening ends with a cup of chai before we head home. It’s just a normal part of life in Pratap Nagar. We just keep the steel moving and hope the rain stays away from the open door. Nothing fancy, just hard work and metal.
