You can find us at 1104 and 1105 in GIDC Makarpura. We’ve been operating Mangalam Steelcast Pvt Ltd from these two units for quite some time now. Makarpura is a big area, but we’ve made our home here. The work involves a lot of casting, which means it gets pretty hot near the furnaces. Everyone wears their gear and just gets to it. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, and most of us have grease under our fingernails by lunch. Corporate talk or big meetings don't really happen here. Usually, a quick chat in the morning to see what needs to be poured is all it takes to start the day. The office part of the building is small and mostly filled with old files and a couple of desks that have seen better days. That doesn't matter much because we spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. Some of the same guys have been working here for years. They know the machines better than anyone. Focusing on the steel is what we know best. If there's a problem with a casting, we just figure it out and try again. It’s a simple way to run things, but it has kept us going. GIDC Makarpura is a noisy place, and we are just another part of that noise. We like it that way.
