Essar Steel

Our place is in Nava Bazar, right near the Municipal Store in Vadodara. It is an older part of the city, so the streets can be narrow and it gets crowded very quickly during the day. Essar Steel has been based at this spot for a while now. We are also quite close to the Panchmahal Transport Company, which is helpful when the big lorries are coming in with new supplies. The whole area is always buzzing with people and handcarts moving goods around the market. Inside our gates, you will see a lot of steel bars and sheets piled up in different sections. It gets pretty dusty here, especially when the wind blows through Vadodara-390006. We don’t really have any polished lobby or a front desk for visitors. It is just a simple table and a few chairs where we handle the paperwork and talk to customers who walk in. We spend a lot of time checking the weights on the scales and making sure the billing is correct. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and we have to rush to cover everything with blue tarps. The work is repetitive and a bit noisy, but it’s what we know. Most people around Nava Bazar just know us as the steel guys near the transport office. We just keep the yard running and get the metal loaded up.
