Essar Steel

We’ve been here in Baroda for a while now. Most days start early because the yard gets hot fast. It's just a regular place at 390009. We deal with steel, mostly lifting and moving things around for people who need it. It’s heavy work and our hands usually have grease on them by ten in the morning. We don't have a big office or anything fancy to look at. Just the equipment and the material sitting out in the Gujarat sun. People come by when they need something specific for a project. We try to keep things organized but with steel, it’s always a bit of a mess. Sometimes the trucks are late and we just sit around drinking tea until they show up. That’s just how it goes here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get the orders loaded right. Most of the guys have been here for years so we know where everything is even if it looks like a pile of junk to someone else. It gets noisy when the machines are running, but you get used to it. The gate squeaks a bit in the wind. We have a small desk for paperwork but it's mostly covered in dust from the road. If you’re looking for us, we are right there in the Baroda area. Nothing more to it really. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down. Most people just call ahead to make sure we are actually in the yard.
