Essar Steel Ltd. Hazira

Our small branch is tucked away in Punjiba Nagar, right on the G.I.D.C. Road in Manjalpur. We sit directly opposite the Gokuldham Society, so it’s easy for people to find us once they get to this part of Vadodara. Even though our main work is tied to the Hazira site, this office in 390011 handles a lot of the local coordination. The road outside stays pretty busy with trucks and cars going into the industrial zone. It’s not the quietest place, but we like the energy of it. Inside, it’s a standard setup with some old filing cabinets and desks that have been here for years. We don’t bother with much decoration. We spend most of our time looking at spreadsheets or talking to the guys at the plant. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes everyone a bit sleepy, so we take a quick break for some cold water or a snack from the shop down the street. It’s a simple operation here. We don’t have a big reception desk or anyone in a suit. Usually, you’ll just find a couple of us hunched over our work. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, papers end up everywhere. It’s an honest living and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now. The neighbors are mostly other businesses or people living in the societies nearby. We mostly just look forward to the evening tea.
