We are located over in Pratap Nagar 6th Stage, right in the Martand Complex near the Essar petrol pump. If you’re looking for the Apsara Cinema, we’re just opposite that area. Most of the time, the shop is full of the smell of wood and sometimes polish. We have all sorts of stuff crammed in here, from sofas to beds and dining tables. It can get a bit crowded, so you have to watch your step when you walk through the aisles. We started small and just kept adding more things as we found space. People come in to sit on the chairs and see if they’re comfortable enough for their living rooms. We deal with local delivery guys who know these narrow streets better than anyone. Sometimes we are busy helping a family pick out a wardrobe, and other times we’re just dusting off the side tables. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright spotlights; it’s more of a practical place where you see exactly what you’re getting. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and most people in Ganakallu know where we are. Dealing with heavy furniture is hard work on the back, but seeing a piece finally leave for a new home is a good feeling. We just open up every morning and wait for the first customer to walk through the door. The traffic outside is always loud, but we are used to it after all these years.
