Dave Utkala

I’m Utkala and you can find me at 23 Sayajigunj. We are located in Shaukat Manzi, which is right by the Nehrunagar Chowk. If you know the Surya Palace, we aren't far from there at all. The building has a lot of character, maybe it's a bit old, but I like the feel of it. Being near the chowk means it’s never quiet. There is a constant hum of scooters and horns. I usually get in around nine and start by opening up all the windows to get some air in. The office is a bit small but it has everything I need to get the job done. I’ve been working from this spot for a few years now. I know the chai wallah on the corner and the people in the next office over. We all sort of look out for each other. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit in the summer, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. I don't have a big team or anything, it’s mostly just me handling the daily tasks. It’s a good location because clients can find it easily enough. I don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and my computer. It keeps things simple and honest. Sayajigunj is a good place to be if you want to stay busy.
