If you look across from the Union Bank of India on Dabhoi Road, you’ll see our place near the Laxmi Ice Factory. We’ve been trading tubes and pipes here in Pratapnagar for quite a long time. The shop is usually full of metal parts and the smell of industrial supplies. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s the nature of dealing with hardware and trading. We spend our days measuring things and helping customers find the right size of tube for whatever project they are working on. The ice factory nearby is a good landmark, and it's usually pretty busy around here. We have a small team of guys who know their way around the inventory. We don't use a lot of fancy computers; mostly we just write things down in our ledgers and keep track of what’s coming and going. The traffic on Dabhoi Road can be a real headache, especially when we are trying to unload a fresh shipment of steel. We just do our work and talk to the regulars who come in every week. It’s a practical business where you get your hands dirty and talk shop. There isn’t much room for fluff or corporate talk here. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them the price. It works for us and has for years. We aren't looking to change much as long as the tubes keep moving.
