Billabong High International School

Out on the Kalali Vadsar Ring Road in Vadodara, you’ll find Billabong High International School. It’s located right where the city starts to spread out a bit more. The road is always busy with people heading to work or home, so we see a lot of traffic passing by. Our building stands out a bit because it’s newer than some of the other structures around here. Inside, it’s a mix of activity and quiet study spots. We have these big windows that let in a lot of light, which is good until the afternoon sun gets too hot. Then we have to pull all the shades down. The hallways are usually cluttered with bags and shoes because kids are always in a hurry. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many people coming and going, it’s a constant job. The playground gets a lot of use, and the grass is always a bit worn down in the spots where the kids run the most. We have a canteen that smells like toasted bread in the mornings. It’s not a fancy corporate office; it’s a place where kids learn their math and science. The teachers are usually busy grading papers or talking to parents near the entrance. It’s a lively atmosphere, and we just keep the wheels turning as best as we can every single day. There’s always something to do, whether it’s fixing a light or planning for the next week of classes.
